The SJAA Girls Tennis Tournament was held on Thursday (10/26) and Friday (10/27), with the singles players competing on the first day and the doubles players on the second day. The Weston Ranch Cougars had a remarkable performance, winning several awards and honors. Harvir Hothi became a back-to-back SJAA consolation champion, taking 1st place in the singles category. Megan Lindbloom also played as a singles player, reaching the semi-finals with her skills and determination. On Friday, Harvir Hothi and Megan Lindbloom teamed up as a doubles pair, placing in the top four and earning the All-SJAA league patch. Coach Cerezo praised Megan for stepping up and playing both singles and doubles. Another doubles pair from Weston Ranch, Aaliyah Hassan and Heidi Araiza, won 1st place in the SJAA doubles consolation championship, showing their teamwork and talent. The tournament marked the end of the 2023 season for the Cougars, who finished with a league record of 6-8. Congratulations to all the players and coaches for their achievements! Go cougars!
