Girls Tennis Senior Night!

  Last week Thursday, 10/19, Girls Tennis held their senior night. All eight seniors were recognized for their commitment, hard work, and effort. The eight seniors include: Carol Ruiz, Yamirel Esquivel-Rodriguez, Megan Lindbloom, Leeandrea Bell, Heidi Araiza, Aaliyah Hassan, Jolette Jaramillo, and Harvir Hothi. Following the senior recognition, they played their matches against Linden, where they won their last league game 6-3. Ruiz, a first–time tennis player, talks about how she felt during senior night saying, “I feel really great, considering this is my first year in tennis. I’ve met really great and fantastic people and I made so many memories and I will cherish them for so long. I wish I came here earlier but at least I was here senior year.”. As the regular season concludes, the SJAA League Championship will take place this week on Thursday, 10/26, for singles and Friday, 10/27, for doubles. Go cougars!
