WRHS Girls Tennis Team played a hard–fought match at home last week on Tuesday, September 26th, losing 4-5 against Bear Creek. The tiebreaker that was played and determined the overall score was played by the doubles #2 team of Baylee Santiago and Sarah Martinez. With their match, first set was taken by WRHS, the second set being close but taken by BCHS, and the third set (tiebreaker) score being 10-7 Bear Creek. Santiago, a freshman tennis player, said, “I felt pressure because I didn’t want to lose the match. They were definitely beatable for my teammate and I but I think we got into our heads and it brought us down.”. There will be an away game tomorrow against Chavez. There will be no games over fall break and will resume the following week. Good luck with finals and go cougars!
