The WRHS Girls Tennis team played Cesar Chavez High School on Tuesday, September 12, 2023. With a hard-fought loss of 2-7 against Chavez, the number one singles player Harvir Hothi and the number one doubles team of Aaliyah Hassan and Leonie Haidorfer came out victorious for their matches. Hothi talks about how she felt about her match saying,” She was winning against me with the first set, so I thought I’d lose, but then surprisingly I won the second set. With the third set, the tiebreaker, I really thought I’d lose, but I won; so basically, have a strong mentality and never give up.”.
Hassan also talked about her match as she says, “Chavez is a tough team to beat. We were missing a lot of key players and it’s hard to fill in those gaps when it’s such an important match. It takes everyone to get that overall win, but we did our best with what we had.”. The WRHS Girls
