Anabelle Mayorca had 26 assists, and Anisa Hekimian added 11 kills and four blocks to pace Weston Ranch in its 3-0 victory over Franklin HS yesterday at Franklin.

The Cougars won by scores of 25-19, 25-17, and 25-23.

Naomi Bridges had five aces, Leilani Dacus amassed 15 kills, Yaritza Jimenez contributed 11 kills, and Isabelle Mayorca added three kills to pace the Cougars’ scoring.

Isabelle Mayorca had 13 digs, and Bridges came through with nine to spearhead the Cougars’ defense.

The Cougars are now 3-3 in the SJAA and 6-6 overall and will play Linden HS on September 20 at Weston Ranch.

Weston Ranch’s JV suffered its first SJAA loss in a 3-game match. The Cougars lost to Franklin 2-1. The freshman also took a defeat, losing 2-0 to the Yellow Jackets.
