BOYS VOLLEYBALL: Cougars Outlast Titans

Abraham Palacios had ten kills, and Marcos Arriaza had nine to pace Weston Ranch in its 3-2 boys volleyball victory over Chavez High School last night at Weston Ranch.

The Cougars and Titans played five long and grueling games, and Weston Ranch won by scores of 25-19, 25-23, 23-25, 23-25, and 15-5.

Palacios, Arriaza, Sammy Seng, and Elijah Mobley had three service aces apiece. Eleazar Nava led the Cougars in assists with 16, while Seng had 10.

Tommy Duong paced the Weston Ranch defense in digs with five, while Josiah Zamarripa led the Cougars defensively with four solo blocks.

Weston Ranch is now 2-4 and plays Lincoln High School at Lincoln on March 15.
