The girls soccer season has officially begun! Both of the girl’s soccer teams had their very first league game this Tuesday, December 6,2023 against Chavez High School. Both J.V and Varsity had a battle, but they did an excellent job.  

The J.V. girls won 6-0. Vanessa Beltran scored 5 goals and Salma Nunez scored 1. It was an intense game, but the girls did an outstanding job to be able to score. Haleigha Brown had 4 saves, she helped her team a lot by coming out of the net and helping her defensive line. Angelica Aboytes a defender says “The game was really good and I’m super excited for the rest of the league games. I’m really proud of all our players and think we’ll have a good season.”  

Varsity had a very amazing and interesting game. They had a tough game and ended with the score of 2-3. Adrianna Escobedo and Fatima Ruiz Perez both scored goals. Everyone did their part, and we are looking forward to seeing them play again! 

The girls soccer teams will have games again Thursday, December 7 against Johansen High. Support the girls by going to the games.
