Girls’ softball is on the rise.

Softball Head Coach Clifford Borden believes the played have, “showed potential” in their first win so far this season.

The team record is 1-2, with that first victory coming on March 8.

The start has been promising, especially considering that the team has multiple new players. The team is helped by key players who include Christina Washington and Julianna Lassiter.

When asked, most of the players on the team agreed that their win was encouraging and made them feel it was the result of the individual work they have been doing in the off-season.

The team’s next game is Monday at Modesto. Their next home game is Friday, March 17 against Sierra.
