Mr. Schlecht is a seasoned teacher with over a decade of experience in the field. This year marks his first year teaching high school students at Weston Ranch High School in Stockton, California. He has previously taught at Woodward Elementary in Manteca for nine years and Joseph Widmer Elementary in Lathrop for three years.
As a teacher of kindergarten through 8th grade, Mr. Schlecht has taught multiple subjects, including history, science, language arts, and math. However, he has a particular fondness for history and science.
When asked about his first impressions of Weston Ranch High School, Mr. Schlecht expressed surprise at the size of the campus. He was amazed by the number of classrooms and students and how far apart everything was. Despite this, he loves the staff at Weston Ranch High School and appreciates their support.
Mr. Schlecht is still adjusting to some aspects of high school life, such as the longer 90-minute periods compared to the 50-minute periods he was used to in elementary school. He is also learning about the differences between high school report cards and elementary school report cards. Nonetheless, he is determined to learn the ropes and ensure that he is well-equipped for any future needs.
