JROTC Preps for Big Battle this Weekend

This Saturday, the Weston Ranch JROTC will attend a drill competition in Rio Linda. Schools from all over the San Joaquin Valley, including Manteca Unified and Stockton Unified, will meet for a friendly day of competition.Cougar Cadets will begin the day at 9 am and look to finish up at 3 pm.

Some of the elements the Cougars will need to master will be Armed Squad, Armed Platoon, Unarmed Squad, Unarmed Platoon, and Color Guard. Before these events begin, the usual Opening Ceremonies will commence, followed by the competition, and then everyone will participate in the Closing Ceremonies.

“We’ve done pretty well in past competitions,” said Mr. Cerezo. “Every time we compete, we usually bring home a trophy.”

Good Luck to the Weston Ranch Cadets, and may the best battallion win. JROTC will have another drill competition on February 15th.
