M.E.L.S. (Manufacturing & Engineering to Learning through STEM) Garage will be hosting a Star Party on October 4th and cordially invite all students, families, and faculty to join them for a night of night sky observation.

M.E.L.S. is MUSD’s community makers space. Their mission is to empower our students and families to come together to experience learning through S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) activities. (mantecausd.net)

The overview of the event planned for the fourth is to “observe the heavens, primarily the Moon, Jupiter, and Saturn, as well as a variety of deep-sky objects.” All in attendance will have the opportunity to participate and encouraged to bring their telescopes and binoculars.  Telescopes and binoculars will also be provided at the site.  There will be faculty and student guides available to assist guests. Members of the Stockton Astronomical Society will also be on hand lending their expertise and assistance.
