JROTC (Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps) will offer car washes over the next few weekends, and they are inviting all to come and help support their program. They are hosting the car wash fundraisers every Saturday this month at Weston Ranch High School. Washing begins at 9 am and conclude at 3:30 pm. All money raised will go directly to the program to help support the cadets. The pricing will be $5.00 for cars and $10.00 for trucks, vans, or any vehicle more substantial than a car.

Zachary Smith, a student at WRHS and the battalion commander of the JROTC Cougar Battalion, is in charge of the organization of the event.

“To better the community and our cadets,” was Smith’s response to why JROTC will spend their Saturdays at WRHS.

Mr. Cerezo, one of WRHS’s JROTC instructors, told The Prowl all money would help the JROTC battalion purchase physical fitness apparel in preparation of the numerous upcoming sports and raider challenge competitions.

The next car wash will be tomorrow, August 24, from 9 am until 3 pm. Entrance for the car wash is on Henry Long Boulevard.
