Students Recognized for Outstanding Acheivements

The past Wednesday at the monthly staff meeting, several Cougar students were recognized by their teachers and advisers for their outstanding accomplishments as students and leaders.

JROTC shouted out to Billy Phan, Zachary Smith, Nachel Sidhu, and Vanessa Lutz. Phan and Smith were responsible for the planning and organizing of the candlelight vigil held for Jaishyne Lopez. Sidhu and Lutz received recognition for the planning and organization of the fundraiser car wash, also for the family of Jaishyne Lopez. Both events came quickly and to see these four students answer the call for the fellow cadet was genuinely inspiring.

FFA introduced us to Breanna Cheavers and Dominic Yabut. Also mentioned (not pictured) were Logan Reid, Clyde Wilson, and Reibecca Castro. All earned their state FFA degree. An amazing achievement.

Our Valedictorian and Salutatorian were introduced to the staff. This year’s Valedictorian is Renny Manansala, and our Salutatorian is Ezequiel Contreras Martinez. The Valedictorian is the student usually having the highest rank in a graduating class who delivers the valedictory address at the commencement exercises while the Salutatorian is the student who ranks second highest in a graduating class and gives the salutatory address during graduation ceremonies.

Valedictorian: Renny Manansala
Salutatorian: Ezequiel Contreras Martinez

Congratulations to these students. Hard work and dedication paid off for these students, and they all received well-deserved recognition. Weston Ranch has outstanding students and young people. Making an effort to improve not only their well-being but helping to improve the lives of others shows how much character our campus has.  Proud to be a Cougar.
