The Lady Cougars Varsity Soccer team started their season off with a victory Nov. 30.

The Ranch defeated Stagg 2-0.

Cougars striker Liz Medrano made the team’s first goal. Later, Selena Landin scored the Cougars second goal in the 77th minute of the match to dethrone the Delta Queens.

This weekend, the girls’ soccer squad will play in a road tournament at Sierra High School today and Saturday.

On Tuesday, the team will play at home, 5 p.m. against Benjamin Holt Academy.
