The Weston Ranch JROTC cadets hosted and performed a talent show on Feb. 23 in the WRHS Theater. The performances, including individual and group performers, company skits, and national anthem singers, highlighted a great evening.

The last time JROTC produced a talent show was four years ago. On a memorable evening, the Cougar Battalion Cadets returned strong, dazzling the audience. Each performer is to be commended for stepping outside of their comfort zone and displaying a side of themselves they often do not reveal.

Without the support from friends and family, the help of Mr. Albala’s performing arts students who assisted in running the talent show, and, of course, the JROTC cadets, none of this would have happened. Thank you to everyone who performed, supported, and worked at the JROTC Talent Show! Special shout out to Colonel Cerezo and SFC Reyes, our WRHS JROTC Instructors!

Talent Show Winners:
1st Samantha Smith (singing)
2nd Benjamin Moua and Rachel Balisacan (dance routine)
3rd Alexa Rodriguez and Sarai Toledo (singing duo)
Best Company Skit: Bravo Company
Honorable Mention: Zo and the Three Mardi Gras Minions (amazing dance/karate routine) for throwing beads to the audience.
