CLUB SPOTLIGHT: Polynesian Club

Have you ever been interested in learning about Polynesian culture? Well, look no further. Today’s story will be about the Poly Club, started by President Kristine Latuhoi and Club Advisor Ms. Kouet. The Poly club is relatively new and was created in January 2022.

You are also not required to be Polynesian to join the club. The club is accessible to anyone of any culture. However, it is encouraged that people who are not Polynesian join the club because the point of the Poly club is to educate people about different backgrounds of the Polynesian culture. Expenses to join the club start at $10 a person.

Unfortunately, it is too late for people to sign up for the Poly club if they plan to join the dances this year. The deadline to join was of last month.

The Poly club has performed six times since last year. You might have seen them at the rallies, Late Night Madness, and recently at the basketball Foundation Game. However, stay tuned for their performance which will be coming soon.

There are different styles of dress codes for the dances that they perform. These dress codes are usually anything related to Polynesian culture.
