Toilets are not Trashcans

One would think that high schoolers are mature enough to respect public spaces such as bathrooms. Unfortunately, you would be incredibly wrong. As a person that uses those WRHS bathrooms, I can confidently say that they are filthy. Every urinal in every bathroom has faced some harsh times, but this is way too frequent. From food to gum to trash, the urinals in the boys’ toilets are misused.

In almost every bathroom you may enter, there is always mystery liquid on the floor. I really hope it is not what I think it is, but if it is…we must do better as teenagers and young adults. Instead of throwing food in the urinals, try using the trash instead and help the staff out. Make their job easier other than making it harder for everyone.

I wouldn’t wish to clean the WRHS bathrooms on my worst enemy. However, it is a very fixable problem, and the solution is also not as complicated as you might think. All you must do is use the bathrooms properly so that the staff’s job is more manageable and your peers don’t have to deal with this problem.

I can tell you that I’ve seen some crazy stuff in these urinals. It ranges from lunch bags and even food. Like, how do you have the time to put a McDonald’s bag into the urinal and make it unusable for two days straight? I can’t lie: Seeing completely random stuff in the urinals is funny, but on the other hand, you really must think about the people that have to pick up after you use the bathrooms.
