Teacher Spotlight: David Hager

This week’s teacher spotlight is on David Hager. Mr. Hager is a campus fixture and favorite amongst students here, and it is our pleasure to highlight his story this week.

Mr. Hager has been a teacher for 16 years, all at the high school level. Brief stops in Kansas and Oklahoma preceded a stint at Soledad High School in Santa Maria before Hager landed at Weston Ranch, where he has spent the past seven years. His current assignment finds him in the classroom teaching Digital Literacy, Computers in Health (HOSA), AP European History, and Government.

Hager is also our school’s head baseball coach, beginning his 7th year in charge this Spring.

When he isn’t guiding the students and athletes at Weston Ranch, Hager enjoys spending time with his wife Rachel and their five children, watching sports, and barbecuing.

“I have enjoyed my time at Ranch,” Hager told The Prowl from the plush offices of the Social Sciences department. “I have relished the opportunity to get to know our students, and hopefully make a positive impact on their lives. Weston Ranch students are a talented group of students who like to have fun.”

The Prowl wishes to thank Mr. Hager for spending time with us, and we encourage all students to check out all of his classes and go out for the baseball team.
