The day has dawned upon us, dear Cougars. Next fall, on August 9th, Weston Ranch High School will be introducing the Official Student Store to our campus!

The idea of the Student Store was initially inspired by Mr. Harrison, although Ms. Lewis and Mr. Wayman oversaw the concept into its development.

The Store will be open before and after school, as well as during lunch. However, it will not be accessible during school hours, and students are not permitted to leave their designated classes to drop by.
The Student Store is planning to sell a plethora of items. Amongst said items, the most notable ones include Spirit Gear and school supplies. As for prices, we’ll have to wait until the Grand Opening to see!

Now, one might ask: Why do we need a Student Store?

There are quite a few reasons as to why we need a Student Store on our campus. For starters, it will be highly beneficial for students who don’t have the time to go to a large store like Target or Wal-Mart and have no way of getting there. Since the Student Store will be open before and after school, students will have some time to drop by before classes and before they head home.

Although, one question still stands: Why is it only being built now?

“It’s a slow process,” Mr. Wayman states. “The idea originated around two years ago…” he began. “We had to get approval from the school site, as well as the school district before we could start anything.”

A slow process indeed, but the wait was worthwhile. In a few months, we’ll be gaining a great addition to our campus—which is pretty exciting, to say so in the least!
