Weston Ranch High School staff and students participated in an online poll this week to provide feedback over how a new mural for the school’s athletic building should appear.
Given two options staff and students overwhelmingly are leaning toward a sleek, cougar baring its sharp teeth ready to pounce.
Option 1 shows a tight-eyed cougar with pointy teeth while Option 2 resembles what some have described as a stray kitty cat.
According to results collected by Weston Ranch’s Associated Student Body and Leadership team, 80 percent of those who completed the survey e-mailed to the entire Weston Ranch school and staff, back Option 1. School officials have said the new art work could cost between $5000 to $7000.
Here, on The Prowl Web site, an ongoing reader poll shows nearly equal support for two different school spirit phrases.
At last count, 49 percent of those who took the poll support the phrase, “Cougar PRIDE” over “Cougar Nation,” which came in at 47 percent of viewed who responded.
Students are encouraged to contribute their own suggestions to promote school pride. Student contributions can be sent to The Prowl at [email protected]
